After ten years as a Jesuit, Joseph Kramer devoted his life to bringing erotic pleasure to himself and to the world. In 1984, he founded the Body Electric School where he trained thousands of professional masseurs and erotic bodyworkers. In 1992, he started the Erospirit Research Institute, a think tank exploring the connection between spirituality and sexuality. In 1999, he founded The New School of Erotic Touch. He is Professor of Somatic Sexology at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. He has produced over a dozen educational DVDs teaching erotic touch.
